Massachusetts First
“Massachusetts First” means putting Massachusetts taxpayers and families ahead of career politicians.
For the fourth year in a row, Massachusetts is set to experience a net outflow of taxpayers. (Report) What’s even worse is that the majority of these residents are between the ages of 26-35, those who are most likely to start a family in the coming years. As the costs of living pile up, younger generations are choosing southern states that are more business friendly and have more affordable housing.
Instead of reversing course, Massachusetts politicians are doubling down on the draconian policies that got us here in the first place.
In just two short years the Massachusetts state budget went from $47 Billion in 2021 to over $60 Billion in 2023. As the taxpayer exodus continues, those that remain in MA will bear an even bigger share of the uncontrolled spending. Included in this budget are:
- Housing costs for over 25,000 foreign nationals
- A “Millionaire’s Tax” to fund in-state tuition for illegal aliens.
(If you are a New Hampshire resident you will pay $148,000 in tuition fees for a degree at Umass Amherst, meanwhile a recently imported illegal alien will only pay $65,000.) - How is it that we have all this tax money to help foreign nationals, but no money to help homeless veterans and our own citizens???
The current agenda is “Massachusetts Last” and the Republican Party needs to find and recruit candidates that will oppose this failing strategy.
I am running for the Republican State Committee so we can put Massachusetts taxpayers and families back in charge. Vote for new GOP leadership on March 5th, 2024 and we can start to turn this state around.
Sincerely,
Jim Davidson, candidate for State Committee.
